Handmade Pottery Classes

A soul-satisfying pottery course focusing on the fundamentals of the potter's wheel. Also covered are the basics of glazing and surface decoration. Students will hone their skills, transforming their own ideas into finished pottery. Cone 6 stoneware firing will be explored. Suitable for all levels:  total beginners as well as those with previous basic/intermediate and advanced experience.

Spring Pottery Classes 2024

10 weeks   3-Hour classes  30 hours' instruction, glaze, materials and firing included.

$ 422.00 course fee plus 54.86 HST $476.86           Clay $40.00 per bag plus 5.20 HST 45.20

Students will bring their own towel and apron; all tools are provided. Additional clay may be purchased as needed; only clay purchased at the studio may be used.

Michael Collins

A professional potter and teacher for 47 years

Michael was on the faculty of the Dundas Valley School of Art and the Cambridge Centre for the Arts 2002 - 2022. In addition, he shares his enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise by teaching workshops internationally at potters’ guilds and schools.
